FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN – PUMPS
The Opportunity
Our client is a leading industrial equipment company hiring a Field Service Technician – Pumps based out of Strongsville, OH (N. Half OH). This role focuses on installation, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency repair of industrial centrifugal and positive-displacement pumps, mechanical seals, and fluid-handling systems across an established service territory.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, startup, preventative maintenance, and emergency repair on customer equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-system issues using OEM tools and schematics
- Document service calls accurately and recommend follow-on repairs, parts, and service agreements
- Maintain inventory on the service truck and keep tools/equipment in safe working order
- Communicate clearly with customers and the service coordinator to maximize uptime
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency service
Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial field service or maintenance experience (compressors, pumps, generators, or rotating equipment preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including 3-phase power and basic controls troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and OEM service manuals
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background and drug screen
- Refrigeration / EPA certification a plus
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills
