GENERAL MANAGER – FLUID CONTROL / HYDRAULICS
The Opportunity
Our client — a leading national player in Compressed Air & Gas — is conducting a confidential search for a General Manager – Fluid Control / Hydraulics based in Rhode Island. This role reports to the President / CEO (or Board) and owns strategy, execution, and team development at the executive level for rotary screw, reciprocating, and centrifugal compressed air systems, dryers, filtration, and piping.

- Executive base + short-term incentive in the $110K – $170K range

Key Responsibilities
- Own P&L, strategy, and operating performance across the assigned scope
- Build and lead the senior team; recruit, develop, and retain key talent
- Set the multi-year growth roadmap including organic, M&A, and new-market initiatives
- Drive operational excellence across sales, service, supply chain, and back office
- Partner with the Board / ownership on strategic planning, capital allocation, and reporting
- Represent the company with major customers, OEM partners, and industry stakeholders
Qualifications
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in industrial equipment, distribution, or related industrial B2B
- Demonstrated success owning a P&L of meaningful scale with measurable growth outcomes
- Strong commercial and operational background; aftermarket / service experience a plus
- Track record of building and developing executive teams
- Strategic, financially fluent, and comfortable working with ownership / Board
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree a plus
